.fit is an active TLD in ICANN's New gTLD Program. MMX, also known as Minds + Machines, manages the TLD and is its Registry. The proposed application succeeded and was delegated to the Root Zone on 06 January, 2015.[1]. General Availability, (on a first-come, first-served basis) for the TLD began on 29 April 2015. [2]

.fit is a generic top-level domain targeted to the fitness industry including gyms, fitness clothing brands, supplement manufacturers, personal trainers, equipment vendors, and other fitness-related companies and enthusiasts.

.fit was delegated to the Root Zone on 06 January, 2015.[1]. General Availability for the TLD began on 29 April 2015. [2]

The .fit top-level domain name, is available to all who want to identify themselves as part of the fitness community, allowing them to quickly connect their brand to the global fitness community.

.fit domain names are open to all, with no restrictions.

Applicants

MMX, also known as Minds + Machines, successfully applied for and was awarded .fit on 7 November 2014. This applicant submitted a Public Interest Commitment, which can be downloaded here.

Previous Applicants

Famous Four Media withdrew it application in June 2013, due to a partnership and revenue-sharing model between itself and MMX.[3][4]
