.kpn is one of the new generic top level domain name (gTLD) delegated ICANN's New gTLD Program. KPN, a telecommunications company based in Netherlands applied for the TLD. After its application succeeded, the extension was delegated to the Root Zone on 15 December 2015. [1] OpenRegistry, a start-up company will handle the application and provides back-end registry solutions for .kpn together with its technical arm Sensirius. [2] [3]
