    .ve is the ccTLD for Venezuela. It is managed by the Comisión Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CONATEL).[1]

    Rules and Restrictions

    Any natural or legal person can register under .ve.

    Domain names that consist of terms or expressions that are offensive, violate morals, good customs and the public order, or that contradict the laws of Venezuela.[2]

    Second-level Domains

    There are two categories of second-level domains: special and commercial.

    The commercial SLDs are: ".com.ve", ".co.ve", ".net.ve", ".info.ve", ".org.ve" and ".web.ve".

    The special SLDs are: ".gob.ve", ".edu.ve" and ".mil.ve".[2]

    Characters

    The permitted characters for a domain name are:

    • letters from the Latin alphabet, from 'a' to 'z';
    • accents such as á, é, í, ó, ú;
    • the diaeresis, as in ü;
    • the letter ñ;
    • numbers from zero to nine (0-9); and
    • the hyphen (-).

    The maximum length of a domain name is 63 characters.[2]
