    Ben Wallis is a Founder and Director of LionBridge Consulting, helping organizations navigate the UN and international bodies on digital policy and internet governance topics.

    Career History

    Ben previously worked at Microsoft in government affairs teams focused on Internet Governance (2016-2021) and the UN and International Organizations (2021-2025). In the former team, he participated in ICANN as a member of the Business Constituency, following issues such as Universal Acceptance, DNS Abuse and the future of WHOIS.

    Prior to Microsoft, Ben worked in the International Team of the UK communications regulator, Ofcom, where his roles included Vice-Chair of the OECD Working Party on Connectivity Services and Infrastructures and Co-Chair of BEREC’s Net Neutrality working group.

    ICANN and Internet Governance Participation

    Ben attended six ICANN meetings between 2017 and 2019, including as a speaker in an ICANN 62 Cross-Community Session on WHOIS/RDS Policy. He participated in the RDAP PDP and was an active member of the Cross-Community Working Group on Internet Governance. Beyond ICANN, Ben was a member of the Internet Governance Forum's (IGF) Multistakeholder Advisory Committee (MAG) from 2018-2020, during which time he also served as Chair of the IGF Best Practice Forum on Cybersecurity.
