Achievements

Jiankang Yao is the Chief Architect on Internationalized Domain Names for CNNIC. He has been working in this position since 2003.

He is one of the Recovery Key Shareholders. He is trusted with the responsibility of keeping the key, which, when combined with the rest of its six DNS keys, can reboot the Internet.

Yao attended OARC 2009 Workshop in Beijing, where he gave a presentation titled "IDN TLD Variants Implementation Guideline." He also attended ICANN Nairobi and ICANN Los Angeles.

Education

He holds a Master's Degree from the National University of Singapore.
