Tapani Tarvainen has been the Vice Chairman at Electronic Frontier Finland since January 2011, though he has been with the organization since January 2002.

He was involved in NCUC in 2009, member of NCUC Executive Committee in 2013, member of NCSG Executive Committee in 2015 and Chair of NCSG 2015-2017.

Non-Commercial Users Constituency. Represent(s) individuals and organizations that use the DNS for noncommercial purposes. The primary purpose of the Constituency is to protect noncommercial online communications, which includes expression for political, personal, research, educational and recreational purposes (Bylaws of the Noncommercial Users Constituency).

Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group. Represents the full range of non-commercial entities of the Internet (ICANN Bylaws). Not to be confused with the At-Large Advisory Committee.
