A '''String Confusion Objection''' is one of the many types of objections that applicants of [[New gTLD Program|New gTLDs]] or owners of current [[gTLD]]s can file against other applications. For instance, a common objection is against plural strings, as ".example" and ".examples" may be seen confusing for Internet users. 

The String Confusion Objection was determined by [[ICANN]], which appointed the [[International Centre for Dispute Resolution]] (ICDR) to be the Dispute Resolution Service Provider ([[DRSP]]) for this type of objection. This type of objection could be filed during the formal objection filing period of the [[New gTLD Program]] between June 13, 2012 and March 13, 2013.
