2017 Nominating Committee

The 2017 Nominating Committee (NomCom) was convened at the conclusion of the 2017 Annual General Meeting at ICANN 57 in Hyderabad, India. The group selected eight leadership positions within ICANN and PTI.

Selections

The 2017 Nominating Committee announced its' selections of a total of eight leadership positions within ICANN on 1 September 2018, including eight within ICANN two board seats, two GNSO Council seats, three ALAC seats, and one ccNSO Council seats. Additionally, they selected two seats on the PTI Board of Directors on 26 October 2017.

Nominating Committee

Generic Names Supporting Organization. Develops and recommends to the Board substantive policies relating to generic top-level domains and other responsibilities set forth in the Bylaws (ICANN Bylaws).

At-Large Advisory Committee. Considers and provides advice on the activities of ICANN related to the interests of individual Internet users (ICANN Bylaws). Not to be confused with the Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group.

Country Code Names Supporting Organization. Develops and recommends to the Board global policies relating to country-code top-level domains (ICANN Bylaws).

Public Technical Identifiers

North America, according to the ICANN Geographic Regions (ICANN Geographic Regions).

Europe, according to the ICANN Geographic Regions (ICANN Geographic Regions).

Africa, according to the ICANN Geographic Regions (ICANN Geographic Regions).

ISPs and Connectivity Providers Constituency. Composed of Internet Service Providers and ISP Associations across the world, thereby ensuring that the Constituency represents a broad range of relevant and diverse ISP and Connectivity interests within the ICANN multistakeholder model (Amended ISPCP Constituency Charter).

Asia/Australia/Pacific, according to the ICANN Geographic Regions (ICANN Geographic Regions).

Latin America/Caribbean, according to the ICANN Geographic Regions (ICANN Geographic Regions).
