Current Applicant
[edit | edit source]- Dish DBS Corporation- The company provides direct broadcast satellite subscription to millions of customers in the United States through Dish Network. This is one of the 13 TLDs filed by the company.[1]
ICANN Auction
[edit | edit source]The string went to ICANN auction on19 November 2014.[2] Dish DBS Corp prevailed over Google at the auction, and paid the winning price of $700,000 to ICANN. The funds will be separated from other ICANN budgets and allocated to a yet-to-be-determined use that will be decided with input from the community.[3]
