Monica Romero works for the Vice Ministry of Telecommunications of Costa Rica. Her role is to ensure that public policies within the Internet community are aligned with the legal framework. She is a lawyer by profession and personally advocates for a free and open Internet, based on the multistakeholder model and protective of human rights. [1][2]
