Sierra Ventures is a Silicon Valley based capital firm focusing its investments across all areas of the Information Technology sectors from semiconductors to enterprise software. Its board of directors consist of six highly experienced individuals, including Mark Fernandes, Tim Guleri, David Schwab, Peter Wendell, Steven Williams and Ben Yu.[1]
Investments
Sierra Ventures has managed nine venture capital partnerships so far and currently has $1.5 billion of capital under management.[2] The company typically invests between $2 million to $25 million however, smaller or larger investments are also made in selected companies.[3] Some of the major investments include Novariant $40M, ZoomSystems $35M, Ooyala $22M, Verari Systems $20M, NebuAd $19M , MakeMyTrip.com $15M, Approva $14M, Multigig $10M and Corrigo $10M. Partners
Robert Walker became partner of Sierra in 2007.[5] Gamiel Gran is another partner of Sierra Ventures, joining in 2008.[6][7]
