==Controversy==
== Methodology ==
Even though nTLDStats became quite popular, there are still doubts that the provided statistics are accurate. The main reason for those divergences shown by competitors are different methods being used to determine statistics or excluding domain names as internal ones.<ref>[https://www.facebook.com/ntldstats?sk=reviews Facebook Review by User]</ref>

Their data is collected from many sources, like published zonefiles or provided by registrars and registries.

The CZDS data is updated every day at 08:00 UTC. The website update their data at least every 24 hours.
As zonefiles are utilized as their primary source, nTLDStats mostly list domains that have at least one nameserver (which does not need to be valid) or a DNSKEY set.<ref name="faqs"></ref>
